My third post for today...
1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us. Its a good thing love doesn't begin in my heart. Without Christ as the center of my heart, I have no ability to love the way that people deserve to be loved. On my own I don't have any idea how to love unconditionally and forget about forgiveness (more on that topic later!). Christ demonstrated how love should look all through the gospels. He touched lepers, held children, healed the blind, put up with those disciples (have you ever taken note on the actions of these guys!?!), raised a widow's dead son back to life, AND THEN He went to the cross. My little finite mind just cannot grasp this no matter how hard I try. I am so thankful that love begins with the One who has experienced true, perfect love. The trinity is a picture of perfect love. God didn't have to break that perfect love by sending Jesus as our ransom, but He did.
More on this tomorrow... I must get some things clean
