I want to be like this Mike!

Mike Yaconelli died on October 30, 2003.

Until his death I knew nothing of Mike. Now, I feel like I know him. He was an amazing man. He spent his life living for Christ. Mike not only pastored a church, he pastored a nation of youth workers. He challenged them, he encouraged them, and he loved them. He was silly and didn't care what others thought of him.

A friend of his wrote: Mike was filled with laughter. Mike was filled with passion. Mike was filled with love for Jesus. How can you be different because of Mike's life? Know Jesus, don't give up, be yourself! This friend continued to write and finally said, " I have many more stories and memories and I'd like to tell you more about Mike someday. You
want to know what's funny? The more I would tell you about Mike, the more you'd know about Jesus. That's what Mike was all about."

So after all of the reading I have done on Mike, I have seen a Legacy and what a legacy it is! We could all hope to leave a legacy like Mike! I promise spending a few minutes reading about Mike will not be a waste of your time!
