The dogs have taken over our house.
Today Jackson ate half of my sandwich, something he has NEVER done before. He never thinks about food left on the coffee table, other tables, or counter tops. He learned as a puppy to leave people food alone. We have even been known to leave meat out all day on the counter to find him laying on the floor drooling over it when all he would have to do is put he head right up there and grab it. Not today though. I was gone for a minute to check on David and I came back and my sandwich was gone and he was tucking tail in his house. Oh well, he must have been hungry.
Pixie and Jackson have been rough housing all day today. Running, playing, wrestling, and barking inside and outside. Good thing that half of this was outside or it would have never gotten as far as it did tonight. After 3 hours of chase and barking, we were done. During the computer fiasco, which is still in progress, my mom shouts from her bedroom (after the Nintendo remote came flying out the door after one of the dogs got caught up in it) "Why don't you put the dogs in their 'H-O-S' es." (We have resorted to spelling certain things around here like O-U-T , P-A-R-K (which I swear Jackson can decode) T-R-E-A-T and G-O.) I started laughing hysterically and looked at my mom and said "Sure I will put the dogs in their HOS. By the way what is and HOS?" We both lost it and the dogs still ruled the house.
The next several minutes of laughter included Pixie flying over queen sized bed in a single bound. Jackson seeking refuge under the same bed. Me moving my already dead laptop to an undisclosed location to protect it (it may have salvageable parts!). And a rodeo type round up to the kennels.
Things have calmed down... At least until sunrise!
