From the Desktop

SO my laptop crashed today! Fun times I tell you. I saw it coming. A few times today my laptop just turned off. I thought to myself, "Self, that's kind of weird." Re-booted and went about my business. 3 times! BAD IDEA!

I was moving some music files from one folder to another and deleting some old MS Word files. After I was done I turned off the laptop and went out for the evening. When I got home all hell broke loose in my laptop. I started it up and got all kind of error messages. This is fantastic considering Tom, my computer repair service, is out of town. Again thinking to myself, "Self, you should turn it off and try starting up in safe mode." All I have to say about this is YEAH RIGHT! Safe mode started and then froze. I tried again. Nothing. You get the idea. This was the hell I was speaking off... Won't boot, screen black then blue, then nothing! Death.

I decide its time to call for help. I got the wonderful Dell Tech Support on the phone and spend the next 20 minutes with the saving voice on the other end trying to get some kind of info on what was going on. About 15 reboots later an error screen finally appears. Right now, I have no idea what it was, cannot remember. She says "That translates into 'corrupted files'." Super.

Now I am waiting on the repair mode and for my new best friend to call back after this process should be done.

More to come I am sure!
