Camp Recovery Period

I am back from camp and I am completely SLEEPY. Of course I didn't come home and go to bed like I should have. I went to the guys' softball game and then out to dinner afterwards. Should have come home then, but NO. I went over to a friends' house for a little while and finally headed home about 12:30. Why? I have no idea. I was excited about the cool things God did while I was at Camp HIS KIDS so I couldn't sleep. I was awake until 3am. AND I have been up since 8am when my lovely aunt and her puppy started making noise. Jackson wanted to join them, so we did! Camp was awesome. I am so excited about what God did in my life and the lives of a few other people who I got to talk with during camp and after camp.

I had this amazing gift of sending home people from camp this year. It was pretty funny. All week long 4 out of the 5 people who went home from camp either came with me to camp or were in my cabin. I sure know how to clean up camp! Ok, I am kidding about that... I was pretty sad when they all had to leave. Stomach viruses and extreme homesickness took them all away! So by Wednesday afternoon I was down to ONE camper and ONE counselor in my group! It was amazing!

Camp was so different this year. I believe that prayers and my relationship with the Lord made ALL the difference. I was able to sleep as good as one can on a plastic mattress and in a intemperate climate. I had FUN. I loved my counselors and my campers in my group. I got to see people who I haven't seen in a few years and get contact info so we can reconnect. I had some incredible time in the Word and really felt God leading and heard God speaking! I was able to make it through the week without being "over emotional", which has happened in the past. I had the opportunity to share about the Lord with a few people. I danced, I laughed, I loved, I PLAYED, I cried (no much, which in and of itself is a small miracle), and I learned.

After a few more days of acclimation to non-camp life and food. I will post more with some pictures!
