A Lion in the House

I am writing to tell you about something that is going to happen in a little more than a week! Independent Lens and PBS have made a documentary type film about Childhood Cancer. It is called "A Lion in the House."

I have not seen this film yet, but as a childhood cancer survivor, I am excited I believe that this film will help education our community about the challenges facing children with cancer and their families. I also believe that this will be a lot of encouragement and hope to families currently in treatment, let this serve as a reminder to them that they are not alone. I can hardly wait for the first air date!

"A Lion in the House" will begin on June 21 and 22 on PBS. For those of you here in the St Louis area, I have double checked with the PBS schedule and it will be at 9pm on both nights.

I hope you all can join in and watch as the world of childhood cancer unfold before us through the work of some extraordinary film producers. After all 1 in about 300 children will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday . For more info about childhood cancer visit Cure Search.
