Parade

So after several episodes of Saturday Morning cartoons and trying to
fall back to sleep for just a few minutes, we finally got up. Brighton
and I had to hurry because we were going to the local highschool's
homecoming parade.

I learned a few things this morning while trying to get out of the house
in a hurry to make it by 9am to the local parade viewing site. Some of
them are VERY surprising...

1. One dog is ALWAYS better than two when you are in a hurry.
2. Socks that match are a luxury.
3. 2 drinks of milk and half of a banana counts as a full meal.
4. Little girls with long hair should sleep with it in a pony tail.
5. Always have Tangle Spray on hand for your favorite 5 year olds hair (and your sanity!)
6. Brighton doesn't like Capitan Crunch (HUH!? I though all kids liked Capitan Crunch) She would rather have Crunch Berries!
7. Who cares if you look like you just got out of bed!
8. You will sing those dumb cartoon songs all day.

This is Brighton, Josh and Cooper. Hey Josh! Your sunglasses are on upside down!

We met Holly, Josh, and Cooper at the parade. It was great fun. All of
the floats were fun and the kids (and Alicia and Holly) gathered up
lots of candy.

The parade ended, as all good things do, and we headed to Home Depot
for Kids Workshop day. It was a busy morning, they also had Kids Safety
Day!

Brighton and I had a great time. I love spending time with her. She is
growing up and changing so fast . It seems like she is learning so much
each day. She is almost reading! She can count to 100 and is starting
to do simple math! But above all she is learning academically, her love
for Jesus is awesome. She is learning so much about God and His Word.
Her heart is tuned into the things of God, His Love, His Grace, and His
Sovereignty. The heart of his child is a good example for adults like
me! I am praying that as she grows up, her heart will stay so tender to
God's work!
