Recovering?

After a 6 day stay at the hospital, David (we) are home form the hospital. It was a rather traumatic visit this time and even though the discharge seemed a little early, we were very glad to be home to our own QUIET beds last night.

David is better. His pneumonia is cleared up and he came home on a few new medications. I think the current total is about 14 now, who really knows? He is on oxygen, has bruises all over from IVs and blood draws, and his electrolytes are still all messy.

As for the rest of us, sleep is a luxury when a child is in the hospital. We are all very tired, the dishes are stacked up in the sink, the fridge is full of spoiled food, a pile of laundry is spilling out of the laundry room door, and Jackson has collected a nice group of things he has managed to find to chew in the great room. Looks like we are talking about a week to recover from this latest stay at the hospital.

Did I mention that we barely recovered from the last stay when we had to go back? Fun times.

This is after 1 night in the hospital. I wasn't even the patient!
