Time Flies

Time Flies

Whoa! It has been a week since I sat down at my computer and did much besides check my mail and the blogs I read. I have had a busy week. I needed to make a list of what I accomplished over the weekend so I could feel better about being so tired.

1. Rearranged and cleaned the garaged so that both cars will fit in garage.
2. Prepared house for out of town weekend guest.
3. Captured Kitten and delivered it to animal shelter.
4. Cleaned basement and organized boxes.
5. Removed the extra boxes from the upstairs and garage and put in basement.
6. Assembled shelves for basement.
7. Trimmed tall grass in yard and put down new grass seed.
8. Christmas lights and other outside decorations up.
9. Tree and miscellaneous items up in house.
10. Organized left over Christmas stuff and threw out smelly old boxes.
11. Laundry. For us and our company! Yes, I love laundry!
12. Grocery store, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, ECT.
13. Went to Walmart about 17 times
14. Went to Home Depot at least 4 times
15 Helped install 2 ceiling fans, a light fixture and a garage door opener.
16. Potted a tree.
17. Chuck E Cheese-I should get an Award for that on a Friday night!

Basically-worked a lot, slept little. This week has been an emotional roller coaster. If I were to put my emotional status on a 1-10 scale right now, I would give myself about a 4. Not so good, its been kind of a sad week for me. Being involved with kids with cancer is such an amazing privilege, unfortunately death often comes with the territory. This time has been so much harder. I know that medical science had done all it could for Dani's body, but I was praying for a miracle-I wanted to see God's healing hand move in her life. I know that God is bigger than cancer and bigger than sadnesses from loosing a friend, but that doesn't seem to matter much right now.

It is times like these that I wonder why God spared my life from cancer when he took it from so many of my friends, I guess this is something I will never fully understand.
