One Fine Day

I know this is a movie title, but it was also my day today!

It was 72 degrees outside and sunny, very windy. It was absolutely beautiful outside! I needed a nice weather day to get out. I took Jackson to the park and went for a walk. We also played in the off-leash fenced dog area. We had so much fun! I haven't laughed and played like that for a long time. After Jackson had enough of the wind (30 mph gusts) we went back to the car for awhile and drove to meet some friends over at the playground. Played on the swings, ran in a field, climbed jungle gyms and flew a kite....what a day!

The sky was just beautiful. Bright blue and full of HUGE white, fluffy clouds. It has been a long time since I saw a sky like this. I am blown away by God's creation more and more as I grow in Him. The love He shows through creation is amazing to my small, limited mind. Good thing God isn't in the box I sometimes put Him in!
Today was a gift from God and I am thankful!

God has had me in a strange place of thinking lately. I don't really know how to describe it but my mind has been full. I am overwhelmed with Jesus' love. Who am I that He would love me? Protect me? Provide for me? Save me from eternal separation from His glory? Pay for me with His life? Call me by name? Ask me to be a shepherd of children's hearts? Why would I deserve this? Why am I worth it?

Answer is His love is perfect. I have done nothing to earn it, but in His eyes I am worth it all!
