I love God's Word. Today I am reminded of the freedom I have in Christ. Before I was a Christian and looked at "church people" I remember thinking that they had a lot of rules and no freedom. In my eyes they didn't drink, smoke, go to parties, say bad words, have sex outside of marriage or have fun. I thought I had freedom... I could drink what I wanted I could smoke, do drugs, say anything I wanted, and party as much as time would allow. I didn't do all of these things but I did some. I thought I was the one with the freedom.
Today I realize the "church people" are the ones with the freedom. I don't have to do any of those things to keep up with the world. I don't have to drink or smoke. I don't have to say a certain number of bad words to fit in. I have been given complete freedom in Christ.
Now if I could just live that way...
