Happy New Year

All of my friends are out of town. OK, not ALL, but all the ones I wanted to hang out with on New Year's Eve. I am glad that I can laugh at myself and what I did instead of celebrating with friends. I house/dog sat for the Huffmans while they went to the condo at the Lake. This didn't seem like such a terrible thing because what else was I going to do?

Well, I updated my blogs, went for a walk with Jackson, played a game or two on the internet and watched TV. I thought a lot too. There is nothing like sometime alone with God to get me thinking. I also watched MTV. There is something I haven't said since the 6th grade, "I watched MTV." I can remember when I was about 12 or 13 the local cable company (and only cable company) decided that they weren't going to carry MTV anymore. That got all of the teenagers in St Charles riled up. Kids were skipping school to go over and protest and the cable office. It seemed pretty dumb to me that people cared that much about MTV. After a long addiction to Real World... I understand. Now, after having survived the withdraw of Real World and moving on I am afraid I have just started a new addiction on MTV. Punk'd! Have you seen this show? It is great. I would recommend it to any adult who need some good laughs! If you read this today MTV is having a Punk'd Marathon.
